Gimme Shelter

If you're down the shore (as I'm sure you are likely to be this brisk March...), stop by the Boatworks in Belmar, NJ.  I will have a piece in the juried show Gimme Shelter, which is an exhibit to benefit an affordable housing project in the area.

Basically, all entrants create a piece on an 12x8.5 house shaped lauan board they provide, and then the pieces are judged, awards are given, and an auction is held to raise money for the cause.  You can find some more info here: Gimme Shelter

The opening reception is March 3 from 5:00 to 8:00, and the show will be up for the month until March 23rd.  I'll be projecting a layered painting video onto the board (because I often make things more complicated than I aught).  Here's a sneak peak:

The project led to more ridiculous stories than you can imagine, and I'll post more about that later, but for now I hope to see you at the opening!
